Ofeir and John: Leading the 2006 Board


After a year of tireless work as a devoted Secretary to the Rotaract Club of Apia Ofeira Faasau was elected President on Tuesday at the usual venue. Seven keen members were present to determine who will hold the reins for this years activities, and after a close elections she won. Ofeira is currently working for the Public Works as an Engineer and is one of the founding members of the reestablished Rotaract Club of Apia.

Supporting Ms Faasau will be the newly elected Vice President, the ever cheerful and the ever so prompt Taufasia John Tagiilima. John joined Rotaract a few weeks after it was reestablished, his determination has been an driving force behind many of our activities this year. John is also Assets Engineer for the Samoa Water Authority.

Rotaractors and Melbourne Cup


Rotaractors turned up in full force to the Rotary Melbourne Cup fundraiser at Yatch Club and Kitano Tusitala on Sunday and Monday. The Rotaractors manned the bar, sold raffle tickets, drew the raffle, cleared and served tables and tidied up in the end. Gratitude to those that made especially to JT for making use of his bar-tending expertise, and of course to the girls who made the Cup easier for Rotary.
